Odyssée candle holder

A mysterious object at the intersection of design and art, the Odyssée candle holder combines the permanent with the ephemeral, the warm with the cold, the dark with the light, into a sculptural figure that seems to encapsulate the classical elements.
Shaped as a primitive, rudimentary lamp, Odyssée is infused with a contemporary feel, evoking both a relic from the past and an object from the future.

The candle holder is composed of an aerial glass globe fitted on top of a faceted bronze base.
Presenting a delicate veil of sand and air bubbles captured inside the glass, the globe is mouth blown by Latvian artist Baiba Dzenite.

A functional objet d’art, each piece is one of a kind, presenting unique characteristics and variations in shape, patina and texture.
